What are Roller, Pleated and Venetian Blinds?

If you’re new to the world of Blinds then let us explain in a little more detail what each of the INTU Blind styles are: So, INTU Roller Blinds are a consistent section of Fabric that Roll up and down covering the Window Pane; INTU Pleated Blinds are made of 20mm Pleats in a range of outstanding Colours and Fabric performances.

INTU Venetian Blinds have a few little extras just for you – these 25mm Horizontal Aluminium Slats are also available with an added Privacy Slat Option to conceal the Drilled Holes and Cords in the Slats, and a Modified Headrail to give the Blinds a Neater and Tighter stack at the top when they are not in use.

How do they work?

Now, this bit is very important when considering an INTU Blind System – Two Side-Channels are fitted as well as the Brackets, to keep the Blinds in Place, and the size of these Channels all depends on the Beading Type of your Window Frame. We totally understand how confusing that can sound – but don’t worry – we offer an INTU Profile Sample Kit which gives you all the info you need about which type of Side-Channel you need for your Blind.

Back to the INTU Blind Types, we’ve got a few things to tell you about how each Style works: INTU Roller Blinds Operate on the Beadfit Blind System and are strictly Spring-Operated, meaning the power is literally in your hands when operating this Blind.

The INTU Pleated and INTU Venetian Blinds are slightly different; both also operate on the INTU Beadfit System but have different options of control. The INTU Pleated Blind can operate Top to Bottom, or Bottom Upwards – it’s completely up to you. The INTU Venetian Blind has two options; you can either have a Top Control Slat Tilter, or a Wand Mechanism to Tilt your Blinds – but both options are still Raised and Lowered by hand.
