A Roller blind can roll under or over, depending on your preference and the installation. Roll from the back is what we consider to be standard (with the fabric rolling up towards the window) it gives a cleaner look and reduced light gaps. Roll from the front, also known as waterfull (with the fabric rolling down towards the room) is better suited for windows with smaller recesses, to ensure the fabric clears any door handles. Choose the option that best suits your needs and installation space. If you’re unsure - get in touch!
To fix a roller blind that won’t turn, check for jams or obstructions in the mechanism by removing the blind from the brackets and ensuring the cord isn’t tangled. If the problem persists, get in touch.

We recommend our ‘Blockout’ system, this consists of a cassette, blackout fabric and a 3-sided channel that the blinds operates within to prevent light seeping down the sides.

Roller blinds can keep heat in, especially if they are made from thicker, insulating, blackout fabrics. They can also keep heat out if the material chosen is a blackout material, roller blinds can act as a barrier to prevent heat from escaping through the windows.
