So, when it comes to blinds there’s a lot of misconceptions and misunderstandings that buyers tend to have. Especially about Perfect Fit Blinds. But don’t worry! Any questions or queries you once had will be answered here.
Â
What type of windows do Perfect Fit Blinds work on, how to install them and do they really damage your windows?
Let us start with giving you a bit of an explanation of a Perfect Fit Blind. The frames are made to fit the uPVC windows and newer aluminium windows or doors you want them for. They can fit even the most awkward windows you struggle to reach in conservatories! And yes, they are fitted without the need of drilling or screwing, it all just clicks into place. You do need to insert the brackets in before any clicking into place happens, but it’s very easy to do so. However, here’s where the worries and queries start floating into the minds of a customer.
Â
Do the brackets damage the seals in the windows?? Does the frame take up space of the glass?? I have sliding doors; can I have Perfect Fits on them??? Luckily, we're here to put your mind at rest.
Â
No, the brackets do NOT cause damage to the seal. In fact, the blind itself doesn’t cause damage to your window at all! The way the PF Frame works is that the brackets slide between the glass and decorative beading, they don’t even reach the seals which are further behind the window frame. The system was specifically designed by Louvolite and has been extensively tested. They wouldn’t design, manufacture and sell an item that would cause damage. It would only come back to bite them in the bum! Not to mention our 10+ years of experience we’ve had selling and fitting these. So, you can definitely trust us!

Will Perfect Fit Blinds ruin your view?
Customers have this worry that the Perfect Fit frame takes up a lot of space on the glass, leading them to believe they will have less visible window. This isn’t the case at all. Most of the frame actually fits onto the beading of the window, I even went to measure for you all and it’s about 8mm of the glass that is covered by the frame, which doesn’t really make a difference so don’t worry! Of course, if you still aren’t sure there’s other options out there for you like Romans, Intus, Verticals, Rollers or Curtains. So, plenty of options!
Â
Â
Are Perfect Fit Blinds blackout?
Another confusion that customers have is why is their Perfect Fit Roller letting in some light around the edges? That’s because a Perfect Fit Roller, or any Perfect Fit Blind isn’t a blackout system and wasn’t made to be completely blackout. The roller fabric itself can be blackout it just depends on whether you choose a blackout fabric. There will always be some sort of light seeping through the inside of the frame as it’s just impossible to be completely blackout due to the components needed. That being said, the different types or Perfect Fit will give different shading. If you’re looking for the closest thing to blackout, then the Hive Pleated fabric is the one for you and the wooden and aluminium venetians will have light from in-between the slats.
Â
Will Perfect Fit Blinds suit your sliding doors?
Now to touch on PF Blinds on sliding doors. Unfortunately, these two things don’t mix. The trouble with this is that having Perfect Fits on sliding doors means you probably won’t be able to open the doors as the frame sticks out slightly. You can have them on most Bi-fold and French doors though! A better option for sliding doors are Verticals, Rollers or even Allusions.
