Perfect Fit vs Intu Blinds: What's the difference?

We often get asked what the difference is between Perfect Fit and Intu blinds, and the short answer is that there aren’t many differences at all.

Perfect Fit blinds and Intu blinds are both popular products on our website and they both come in a range of blind types and styles. Both Perfect Fit blinds and Intu blinds are available in Venetian, Honeycomb and Pleated styles.

Perfect Fit blinds and Intu blinds have several similarities. Both products integrate fully into the window or door, allowing the blind to operate as one with the window. They both are no drill, meaning they are quick and easy to install yourself and leave no damage. They have no drills or screws and can easily be clipped on and off the window or door. They are both safe by design, which means they have no free hanging strings or chains and both styles are available in a range of colours and fabrics, so customers have lots of options.

So, what is the difference? The main difference between Perfect Fit blinds and Intu blinds is that Intu blinds don’t have a visible frame around the blind, whereas Perfect Fit blinds have a four-sided frame that fully encloses the blind. Instead of a four-sided frame, Intu blinds come with a headrail that sits on the face of the window at the top, with two side channels that run down the window and keep the blind under constant tension.

This means that the frames of Perfect Fit blinds occupy a portion of the available window space, whereas Intu blinds give a bigger, unobstructed window view because they don’t have a frame.

The lack of a frame means that Intu blinds appear more streamlined and compact than Perfect Fit blinds do. However, both designs look sleek and modern in any room and a lot of the time it’s down to personal preference.

Another difference is that Perfect Fit blinds offer more control over privacy than Intu blinds do. Due to the design of Perfect Fit, the frame overlaps the front of the fabric or slat allowing less light to filter through from the window. The four-sided frame also reduces visibility and restricts the blinds movement in the wind, offering a blend of light control and privacy. Without the frame on Intu blinds, the edges of the fabric and slats are left exposed, leaving more glass visible.

Overall, Perfect Fit blinds and Intu blinds are both excellent options for your home. Both options offer a range of benefits. They are both no drill, saving you installation time and helping to avoid mess, they come in a range of fabrics and colours, they are child and pet safe and look great in your home without over cluttering your windows.

Choosing between an Intu blind and a Perfect Fit blind ultimately comes down to personal preference. If your priority is maximum privacy and light control, then Perfect Fit would be the best option, but if you would prefer to have more, uninterrupted window space then Intu blinds would better suit your needs.

Regardless of which blind you choose to go for, we can guarantee that when ordering a product from us, you will have high quality, made to measure blinds that look stylish and sleek in your home.
