What are Grip Fit blinds?Â
Grip Fit is an innovative system used to install your blinds with no drills, no mess and no fuss. It uses a clever bracket system that pushes against your window recess and the gripped pads on the ends keeps the blinds in place. Unlike other blind systems, it is easily removable and super easy to set up and install!Â
Â
What are the benefits of Grip Fit?
The benefits of the Grip Fit system are that it leaves no mess and requires no drilling! This makes Grip Fit Roller Blinds simple to install in seconds and leaves absolutely no damage to your windows.Â
Â
How are Grip Fit blinds fitted?
To fit Grip Fit Roller Blinds simply raise the blinds cassette into your recess at angle, make it level and fold the levers on the bracket down to lock them into place. Once you have done this you can easily insert the blind into the cassette one end at a time, slide out the bracket covers and that’s it!Â
Â
How do I know if Grip Fit Blinds are suitable for my window recess?
The bracket system pushes out with up to 60kg of force so recess needs to be solid. Grip Fit Roller Blinds have been tested on a range of surfaces including brick, tile, plaster board and wood which are all suitable. However if your recess moves when pushed for example if you have plasterboard with nothing behind, then your window would not be suitable.
Â
The Grip Fit Roller Blind grips onto the side of your recess. As a result of this your walls need to be parallel to each other and not taper forward or back where you are going to install the blind as this would stop the rubber compound from making contact with the wall fully.
Â
How do I measure for Grip Fit Blinds?
- Start by measuring the depth of your recess, which should be at least 8cm to fit the Grip Fit cassette.
- Next, test the wall’s sturdiness by pressing it with your hand—if it doesn’t flex or move, it’s suitable.
- Measure the width of the recess at the top of the window, to the nearest millimeter. Make sure to measure where you plan to install the cassette. (Remember to allow space for the window handle if there is one).
- Finally, measure the drop in three places along the recess and use the longest measurement.
Â
