At Direct Order Blinds, we understand that measuring mistakes can happen, which is why we offer our Be Sure Promise. For just a small cost, add Be Sure to protect yourself against specific measuring errors. If your blinds don’t fit, simply inform us of the correct size within 14 days, and we’ll arrange an alteration or send a replacement.
What’s Covered
Mismeasurement Protection: If your width and drop measurements are incorrect, we’ll replace your blinds.
Same Fabric Specification: Replacements will match the fabric and hardware specifications from your original order, with no changes in fabric allowed under any circumstances.
Affordable Peace of Mind: Just 10% of your blinds' price for complete coverage.
Additional Costs:
A £19.95 Delivery Charge will be applicable if we have to return an altered blind or send a replacement.
If the new measurements result in larger blinds, additional charges may apply.

The Full Terms & Conditions
Thank you for choosing Direct Order Blinds and our Be Sure Promise. By selecting Be Sure at checkout, you agree to the following terms and conditions:
1. What is Covered?
The Be Sure Promise offers protection against incorrect width and drop measurements when ordering blinds or shutters. If you measure your blinds or shutters incorrectly, we will alter them or replace them with the correct size based on your updated measurements.Specific Measuring Errors include: Glass, Recess, Cloth Size and Blind Size, Width and/or Drop entered when ordering. Everything else is excluded. See p 10.
2. Eligibility
The Be Sure Promise is available to customers who select Be Sure Cover at checkout, which is 10% of the price of your blinds or shutters.
The Be Sure Promise covers Blinds and Shutters. It does not apply to Roman Blinds or Curtains.
The Be Sure Promise does not apply to trade account customers.
3. How to Claim
If your blinds or shutters don’t fit due to incorrect width or drop measurements ordered, please notify Direct Order Blinds within 14 days of receiving your order.

You must provide the correct width and drop measurements for your replacement blinds or shutters.
The replacement items will be made to the same product, hardware and fabric specification as the original order, with the new size based on the updated measurements.
4. Price Differences
If the new measurements result in a larger size, you will be charged the difference in price between the original order and the replacement.
If the new measurements are smaller than the original blinds or shutters, we will aim to amend the existing item rather than produce a completely new one, if possible.
If this isn’t possible, the difference between the original and smaller item will not be refunded.
This is not a refund guarantee, under no circumstances will original orders be refunded due to any incorrect measurements provided by you, the consumer. This also includes if you have ordered an unsuitable product for your windows or doors.
5. Replacement Policy
Replacements are only made for incorrect width and/or drop measurements. Replacements must match the fabric, hardware and product specification from your original order. The product must be the same as the original aside from changes to width and/or drop.
Two claims per household are allowed within a 12-month period.
Once a claim has been placed and the blinds are altered or replaced with updated measurements, you cannot claim again for the same item.
If you fail to select Be Sure at checkout, worry not - we may still be able to help you! If we can alter a blind we can do, however it will be chargeable. If you need to replace a blind as you have mismeasured, we can offer a small discount as a gesture of good will.
6. Delivery Charges
You will be responsible for organising the return of your incorrect item, in its original packaging. We would recommend using Parcel2Go and using a drop shop service or via your local Post Office.
A £19.95 delivery charge will apply when activating the Be Sure Promise for your replacement blinds or shutters. (Highlands & Islands may differ).
7. Out of Stock Items
If your replacement blinds or shutters are out of stock at the time of your Be Sure order, you will need to wait for stock to arrive.
If you do not wish to wait, you will receive a refund for the Be Sure cost but not for the original order.
Original items will not be refunded under any circumstances.
8. Damaged Returns
To activate the Be Sure Promise, the original item must be returned in its original packaging.
Any items returned to us must arrive in a condition suitable for us to alter and will be inspected for damage prior to alterations.
If the original item is damaged beyond repair, we reserve the right to cancel the Be Sure Promise and cease work on your alteration. In this case, no refund will be issued for the Be Sure Promise.
9. Price at Time of Claim
If your replacement blinds or shutters are to be bigger than the original, the difference will be payable and will be based on the current website price at the time of placing your claim. We will not honour any current or previous sale prices or offer discount codes at this time.
10. Limitations and Exclusions
The Be Sure Promise does not cover Roman Blinds and Curtains.
Two claims per household are permitted within a 12-month period.
Under no circumstances are any refunds for Blinds or Shutters permitted.
Even if you do not need to claim on our Be Sure Promise, we will not refund this cost.

11. Modification of Terms
Direct Order Blinds reserves the right to modify or update these terms and conditions at any time.
