

What is the Be Sure Promise?
At Direct Order Blinds, we understand that measuring mistakes can happen, which is why we offer our BeSure Promise. Add BeSure, when ordering, to protect yourself against specific measuring errors. If your blinds don’t fit, simply inform us of the correct size within 14 days, and we’ll arrange an alteration or send a replacement.
What’s Covered:
- Mismeasurement Protection: If the width, drop or handle location measurements are incorrect, we’ll alter or replace your blinds.
- Same Fabric Specification: Replacements will match the fabric and hardware specifications from your original order.
- Affordable Peace of Mind: A fraction of the blinds' price for complete coverage.
Longer Warranty Period:
- BeSure Promise Manufacturing Guarantee: A standard 2-year manufacturing guarantee applies to all blind, shutter and curtain orders where the “BeSure Promise” was selected, and paid for, at the time of order AND no claims have been made, applicable from the date of delivery. A further 2-year limited guarantee is also included, giving you 4 years in total.
Additional Costs:
- A £19.95* Delivery Charge will be applicable when we return an altered blind or send a replacement. *Mainland UK only.
- If the new measurements result in a more expensive product (a larger blind is required, for example), the difference in cost between the two sizes will be payable.
- All products are to be returned to us, whether we intend to alter them or replace them, prior to us processing your claim form through to our manufacturing team.

BeSure Promise - Full Terms & Conditions
Thank you for choosing Direct Order Blinds and our BeSure Promise. By selecting and paying for our BeSure Promise, you agree to the following terms and conditions:
1. What is Covered?
The BeSure Promise offers protection against the most common measuring mistakes when ordered with blinds* or Perfect Fit Shutter Lite. We offer alterations or replacements once the updated measurements are received and the original, incorrect, blind has been returned to us.
Specific Measuring Error inclusions:
- Glass size width and/or drop
- Recess width and/or drop
- Cloth size width and/or drop
- Blind Size width and/or drop
- Perfect Fit Shutter Lite only – Window handle location
All other measurements requested or provided are excluded from our BeSure Promise, as are all other product or ordering specifications.
2. Eligibility
- The BeSure Promise is available to customers who select BeSure Cover on the product pages. The cost is 10% of the price of each blind (excl. Roman Blinds) or 20% of the price of Allusion blinds and Perfect Fit shutters.
- The BeSure Promise covers Blinds and Perfect Fit Shutter Lite. It does not apply to *Roman Blinds or Curtains.
- The BeSure Promise does not apply to trade account customers.
3. How to Claim
- If your blinds or shutters don’t fit, due to one of the “Specific Measuring Error Inclusions” mentioned above, please notify Direct Order Blinds within 14 days of receiving your order.
- Please email [email protected] to request a Claim Form.
- You must provide the correct width, drop and/or handle location measurements for us to confirm how we will proceed with the alteration or replacement.
- The replacement items will be made to the same product, hardware and fabric specification as the original order, with the new size based on the updated measurements.
4. Price Differences
- If the new measurements result in a more expensive product (a larger blind is required, for example), the difference in cost between the two sizes will be payable.
- If the new measurements would have resulted in a cheaper product (the new measurements are smaller, for example) any difference in cost will not be refunded.
- This is not a refund guarantee; under no circumstances will original orders be refunded due to any incorrect measurements provided by you, the consumer. This also includes if you have ordered a product that is unsuitable for your windows or doors.
5. Replacement Policy
- Replacements must match the fabric, hardware and product specification from the original order. The product must be the same as the original aside from changes to width and/or drop and/or window handle location.
- Two claims per household are allowed within a 12-month period.
- Once a claim has been placed and the blinds are altered or replaced with updated measurements, you cannot claim again for the same item.
- If you fail to select BeSure at checkout, worry not - we may still be able to help you! If we can alter one of our products, we like to do so. It saves waste and money! Alterations/replacements outside of our BeSure Promise are chargeable.
6. Delivery Charges
- You will be responsible for returning the incorrect item, in its original packaging. This applies whether we intend to alter or replace the blind in full. We would recommend using Parcel2Go and using a drop shop service or sending via a local Post Office.
- A £19.95 delivery charge, for sending altered or replacement products to you, will apply when claiming against the BeSure. (£63 for those not in a UK Mainland Free Delivery post code. Check here).
7. Out of Stock Items
- If the replacement products or components are out of stock at the time of your BeSure claim, you will need to wait for stock to arrive.
- If you do not wish to wait, you can request a refund of the BeSure costs paid, but not for the blind and/or shutter products ordered.
- Our blind and shutter products will not be refunded under any circumstances.
8. Damaged Returns
- To activate the BeSure Promise, the original item must be returned in its original packaging.
- Any items returned to us must arrive in a condition suitable for us to alter and will be inspected for damage prior to alteration. Only once the original item has been returned will we process the claim form and instruct our workshop to carry out the necessary manufacturing work.
- If the original item is damaged beyond repair, we reserve the right to cancel the BeSure Promise and cease work on your alteration. In this case, no refund will be issued for the BeSure Promise.
9. Price at Time of Claim
- If the new measurements result in a more expensive product (a larger blind is required, for example), the difference in cost between the two sizes will be payable. The new price will be based on our current website price, at the time we process your claim form. We will not honour any current or previous sale prices or offer discount codes at this time.
10. Limitations and Exclusions
- The BeSure Promise does not cover *Roman Blinds and Curtains.
- Two claims per household are permitted within a 12-month period.
- Under no circumstances are any refunds, for blinds or Perfect Fit Shutter Lite, permitted.
- If you do not need to claim on our BeSure Promise, we will not refund any costs.
- No other alteration/replacement claims are covered by our BeSure Promise; only those found in the "Specific Measuring Error inclusions” section above are permitted.
11. Modification of Terms
Direct Order Blinds reserves the right to modify or update these terms and conditions at any time.
